The Manitoba Collaborative Indigenous Education Blueprint partners are excited to announce that we will be hosting our annual Indigenous Education Gathering February 6 & 7, 2025 at the Victoria Inn Hotel and Convention Centre, 1808 Wellington Avenue.
March 8 is International Women's Day. It’s a global day to recognize and celebrate women’s and girls’ social, economic, cultural, and political achievements. It’s also a time to raise awareness of the progress made towards achieving gender equality and the work remaining to be done.
Every year in March, the Stone Soup folktale is recreated as the Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba brings the community together to enjoy a warm bowl of soup, while raising funds and awareness for school meal programs across Manitoba! Stone Soup Week will take place Monday, March 17 through Sunday March 23, 2025.
World Down Syndrome Day is on 21 March every year. It is a global awareness day officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. The goal is to help people better understand and support those with Down syndrome. The 21st day of the third month was chosen to represent the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down syndrome.

National Indigenous Languages Day is an opportunity to honour the rich linguistic heritage of First Nations, Inuit and Métis across Canada. This day is a profound reminder of the importance of Indigenous languages and the critical role they play in preserving the history, culture and identity of Indigenous communities.
