Fall General Meeting - November 23 and 24 (Save the Dates)
Victoria Inn & Conference Centre, Winnipeg
The Fall General and Regional Meetings will be held in Winnipeg in November of this year. Program and registration information will be distributed to member boards in the early fall. Day 1 (Thursday, November 23) will be dedicated to professional development and Day 2 (Friday, November 24) will include the general meeting, regional meetings, and other items related to association business.
Fall General Meeting - December 1 & 2, 2022
Victoria Inn & Conference Centre, Winnipeg
The Fall General Meeting marked the return to in-person large events for the association. The program was designed to help both newly-elected and returning trustees better understand the role of school boards in Manitoba’s K-12 public education system, and the role of individual trustees on the corporate board. Topics, delivered by MSBA senior staff, included an examination of what it means to govern, an overview of provincial bargaining, the MSI program, and the board’s role as an employer. The session also included presentations by the Manitoba Association of School Superintendents (MASS) and the Manitoba Association of School Business Officials (MASBO). Association business and regional networking wrapped up this fast-paced two-day meeting.
