Human Resource Services & Provincial Bargaining (HRSPB) is responsible for providing value-added human resource (HR) services to member boards and leading provincial teacher collective bargaining on behalf of MSBA as the bargaining agent.
HRSPB provides school boards with HR services, including executive contract management, executive recruitment, professional development, interpretation and guidance of employment legislation, and high-level human resource consultation services. It also coordinates a network of school division HR professionals and offers HR professional development to various stakeholders.
HRSPB is the employer bargaining agent for school divisions for the provincial teacher collective bargaining process. This service includes developing collective bargaining policies and procedures, leading the MSBA Provincial Bargaining Trust Committee in teacher collective bargaining, and engaging with relevant stakeholders regarding negotiation and/or interest arbitration issues.
