Individuals, families, schools, and communities work hard daily to reduce bullying in Manitoba. The week of November 12–18, 2023, has been declared Bullying Awareness and Prevention Week. The week is about taking the time to promote awareness and understanding of bullying and its impacts.

Mamàhtawisiwin: The Wonder We Are Born With – An Indigenous Education Policy Framework is a provincial policy directive and conceptual framework that supports the holistic achievements of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit learners by assisting Manitoba educators in incorporating Indigenous pedagogy, languages, and cultures into their teaching and practices. November 20 is Canada’s official day to recognize children’s rights in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Canada History Week 2023 takes place from November 20 to 26. This year’s theme is the History of Black Achievement in Canada. The week encourages Canadians to reflect upon and engage with Canada’s past. Use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram to share what you are learning. Post photos, videos and messages and take part in the discussion using the hashtag #HistoryWeek2023.

International Day of Disabled Persons is December 3, 2023. First launched in 1992, the event is in its 29th year of celebration, marking nearly three decades of meaningful change for the disabled community.
