Canada History Week 2023

Canada History Week 2023 takes place from November 20 to 26. This year’s theme is the History of Black Achievement in Canada. The week encourages Canadians to reflect upon and engage with Canada’s past. Use Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram to share what you are learning. Post photos, videos and messages and take part in the discussion using the hashtag #HistoryWeek2023.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

International Day of Disabled Persons is December 3, 2023. First launched in 1992, the event is in its 29th year of celebration, marking nearly three decades of meaningful change for the disabled community.

2024 Holocaust & Human Rights Virtual Symposium

There is no charge for the symposium, but registration is required. Email: jewishheritage@jhcwc.org.The symposium will be virtual and is open to all, though recommended for students in grades 7 through 12.

International Women’s Day

Join us on March 8, 2024, for International Women’s Day under the theme 'Invest in women: Accelerate progress”, and take a stand with us using the hashtag #InvestInWomen

Stone Soup Week | March 11-17, 2024

Participating restaurants from around the province will create signature soups to be sold during the week of March 11-17, 2024 and will donate $1 from the sale of every bowl of soup to the Child Nutrition Council of Manitoba. All of the funds raised will go directly to support Manitoba school meal and snack programs.
