International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) is a celebration held annually on December 3. Proclaimed in 1992, by The United Nations General Assembly, the International Day of Persons with Disabilities promotes an understanding of disability issues and calls for supporting the dignity, rights and well-being of persons with disabilities.

Each year, Manitobans join people across the world in promoting the rights and well-being of people with disabilities in every aspect of life, including political, social, economic and cultural.
