Fall General Meeting - November 23 & 24, 2023
The 2023 Fall General and Regional Meetings was held on November 23 & 24 at the Victoria Inn & Conference Centre in Winnipeg. We hope member boards and guests enjoyed the keynote address, workshop presentations, and the opportunities for sharing and learning.
Please take a few minutes to complete our evaluation survey. Your evaluation and comments are of benefit to both the presenters and to MSBA as it plans future events.

Call for Nominations and Resolutions
Member school boards and trustees are invited to nominate candidates for the 2024-2025 Association's Provincial Executive. The following positions will be elected for two-year terms in 2024: Vice-President (boards with 6,000 students or more) and Directors for Regions 1, 3, and 5 (one position).
As well, the Resolutions and Policy Committee is inviting member boards to submit resolutions for consideration at the Association’s 2024 Annual Convention. The procedure to submit a resolution can be found in MSBA's resolutions primer.

New Division Dispatches Series - DEI
Whether a school board, a commercial enterprise, a large corporate board or a small volunteer group, most boards are making visible commitments to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Statements are included in a vision and mission and there are strategic goals for administration. But when it comes to intra-board dynamics, practices and making plans, boards can do more to commit to real board-level DEI change.
DEI - Member Commitment is the first video of this new series.

March Annual Convention - Save the Dates!
The Association's 60th Annual Convention will be held March 21 & 22 in Winnipeg. Two notable changes for 2024: the convention will be held at the Victoria Inn and Conference Centre and the President’s Banquet will be held on Thursday, March 21. Visit the convention webpage for the latest news and information.
Program and registration links will be distributed in the new year.
