What We Do
Programs of leadership and professional development for trustees and senior administrators are conducted by the Manitoba School Boards Association. This is done through provincial and regional workshops, e-learning, and at the annual convention.
With the use of on-line software the association can provide a e-learning opportunities for boards and trustees to achieve part of their learning and development goals. Through live, on-line webinars, a diverse range of subjects including ethical governance, board/superintendent partnerships, evaluations, media relations, effective chairing, good governance and policy development, among many more, are offered. Following trustee elections, newly elected trustees are provided with an opportunity to learn about the job ahead, and to trade ideas with other elected trustees and administrators. Trustee elections will take place in October, 2014.
