What's Happening
2024 Annual Convention
The Association's 60th Annual Convention will be held March 21 & 22 in Winnipeg. The program begins with a keynote address by Darci Lang, followed by a variety of workshops to round out the first day. Day two will be dedicated to the business of the Association. Presentation of recognition awards will be showcased throughout the event.

Call for Nominations
Member school boards and trustees are invited to nominate candidates for the 2024-2025 Association's Provincial Executive. The following positions will be elected for two-year terms in 2024: Vice-President (boards with 6,000 students or more) and Directors for Regions 1, 3, and 5 (one position).

Routine Practices Guide
Manitoba Education and Early Childhood Learning, in collaboration with Manitoba Health, has developed a helpful document, Routine Practices: Guide to Creating a Healthy Environment and Preventing Infections within Child Care Facilities and Schools to help manage and prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
A Routine Practices website contains supporting materials such as infection prevention and control posters, resources, frequently asked questions, and a video slide presentation.
2024 NTGIE & CSBA Congress
The 2024 National Trustees Gathering on Indigenous Education and CSBA Congress will be hosted by the Ontario Public School Boards Association in Toronto from July 3-5, 2024.
The Canadian School Boards Association also hosts its AGM during the National Trustees Gathering on Indigenous Education and Congress. This annual meeting provides an opportunity for the membership to come together to hear from the President, Vice-President, and Board of Directors. The annual report is presented along with the meeting package.

Manitoba School Boards Association
The Manitoba School Boards Association is a voluntary organization of public school boards in Manitoba. Its mission is to enhance the work of locally elected school boards through leadership, advocacy and service, and to champion the cause of public education for all students in Manitoba. The association offers a wide range of direct services to member boards, and provides a strong voice for the expression of their views and concerns.
