Collaborative Leadership - Building Frontline Resilience

March 19, 2021 (Virtual Event)

During this pandemic, it is imperative that boards focus on the needs of staff, the people that carry the division in its operations. Boards need to ensure no one is left behind during and after the situation normalizes. As employers, boards demonstrate this responsibility by communicating about, connecting with, and caring for the mental health of all employees.

2021 Program Highlights

The annual convention will be scaled-down this year so the format will look a little different, but it will still retain the necessary components from our traditional, in-person event.

Our opening keynote speaker will be Sylvia Marusyk of MindBody Works. Her presentation, Collaborative Leadership - Building Frontline Resilience will help board members learn practical, proven, and proactive skills that directly impact the safety and well-being of all staff.

The one-day convention will also include: elections for provincial executive positions, debate and voting on resolutions, and addresses from both the association’s president and executive director to round out this fast-paced, on-line 57th annual convention.

Recognition of Achievement

Each year at its annual covention, the association honours long-serving trustees, exemplary educators and inspiring students. In 2021, each award will be presented virtually and the pre-recorded presentations will be showcased at the convention. Information on nomination procedures and deadlines for 2021 is available for download here.
